Basile Plant

The Basile Plant is located in Acadia Parish, Louisiana and straddles the Pine Prairie Energy Center Header System ("PPEC"), which is owned by PAA Natural Gas Storage (NYSE: PNG).

The Plant became operational in July 2011 and employs a 400 gpm amine treating process, that provides a residue stream with 0.3 mol percent or less of CO2, a glycol dehydration process, molecular sieve, and a cryogenic expander plant capable of 92% C2 recoveries and 100% C3+ recoveries in the full recovery mode, together with an ethane rejection mode.

PPEC is a strategically located, high-deliverability salt-dome natural gas storage facility with a header system accessing LNG imports and connected to the premier markets in North America including: Columbia Gulf, Tennessee Gas, ANR, Texas Gas, Texas Eastern, Florida Gas, Kinder Morgan Louisiana and Transco.
